Who are Kester and Kavitha?
They're not your typical relationship experts. They're rebels-at-heart who broke away from society's expectations to build something real—just like you're trying to do.

They Rejected Hustle Culture Before It Was Cool: While their peers were climbing corporate ladders, Kester and Kavitha chose meaning over money, authenticity over approval. They understand what it's like to break away from society's definition of success.
They Built Resilience the Hard Way: Their marriage wasn't Instagram-perfect. They had intense conflicts that pushed them to understand the root causes of human suffering. They didn't pretend everything was fine—they did the work to heal themselves and their relationship.
They Created an Authentic Partnership: Instead of falling into traditional gender roles or functional relationship patterns, they built something based on true authenticity. They learned that individuality and deep connection can coexist—you don't have to lose yourself to love someone.
They Discovered What You're Seeking: That true healing happens in relationships, not isolation. That you can honour tradition while staying true to yourself. That meaningful work and deep relationships aren't mutually exclusive.
About Kavitha
Born in Southern India, Kavitha saw firsthand just how stifling traditions could be for women. The expectations were clear: marry by 18, have children by 20, and devote the rest of her life to serving her husband and family. But Kavitha couldn’t accept a life that silenced her spirit. Refusing to be trapped by tradition, she broke away from her family’s norms and, at just 22 years old, moved to Singapore on her own.
On the outside, she quickly checked off the boxes of what society deemed “success”—got married, bought a condo, and had a child. Yet behind closed doors, her personal life was in turmoil. She found herself stuck in relationships that stifled her truth and failed to honour who she really was.
This dissonance deepened Kavitha’s curiosity and set her on a transformative path. She became driven by two pressing questions: What truly lies at the root of human pain and suffering? And how can we create deep, authentic connections where everyone in the relationship not only survives—but thrives?
Kavitha holds a Masters in healthcare management, a diploma in regression therapy, and certifications in trauma healing, counselling, and mind-body practices, alongside professional experience in hospitals, academia, and medical publishing.
About Kester
Born into a Teochew-Hokkien family in Singapore, Kester grew up with the warmth of a large extended family but also the pressure to follow a set path: graduate, get a job, marry, and have children. As a sensitive child, he struggled with school, friendships, and his sexuality, often feeling he wasn’t “manly” enough. To fit in, he buried his emotions and became a “nice guy,” but inside, he asked, “what’s the point of all this?”.
He chased happiness through travel and an active social life, becoming a diplomat to explore the world. Yet, he still felt lost. In surrender, he told the universe, “I don’t know what I’m doing. You put me here, so use me.”
That surrender led him down a transformative path, leaving his job and eventually meeting Kavitha. Their connection awakened a shared purpose to build community. Marriage and fatherhood forced him to confront suppressed emotions and redefined masculinity on his terms. He learnt that true community honours each person’s unique journey and gifts—without self-sacrifice.
Kester holds a degree in communications, a specialist diploma in family and relationship counselling, and is a certified meditation teacher and sound therapist. His professional experience spans international diplomacy, media, and communications.
