Kavitha’s Reflections: What this reel we posted taught me (resending with images)
I’ve dropped the reel in question below👇should you want to watch it.

So to be fair, we used a hook. Clever editing I must say.
And in the words of Jar Jar Binks "Meesa wanna see is yousa watching full reel or just 3 seconds!" (Translation for non-star wars fans: “I want to see if you are watching the full reel or just 3 seconds!”)

Ok I confess, big star wars fan here.
Now back to the reel.
This reel got comments ranging from personal attacks - “This is bullshit!!! You can’t justify cheating”; to being called a “Sexist.”
To one gender blaming the other with comments like, “This is not an excuse to cheat its personality and choice.”; “It’s not true. The man just needs external validation because he is insecure. The wife has no problem at all.”
This reel is a snippet from the 1 hour plus podcast, which talks about the psychological reasons behind infidelity in men and women.

Those who made it a point to watch the full reel and then go onto watching the full podcast, surely learnt a lot from it. Some of them even booked Couple Therapy Consultations with Kester and I and are working on improving their relationship.
So this got me thinking……………………….

“Why is it that some watch till the end, while others jump to conclusion within the first 5-10 seconds.”
Penning thoughts on the nature of collective pain below 👇
There is a lot of pain in the collective, be it collective pain of women, collective pain of men, collective pain of different suppressed groups, etc.
Pain has a consciousness of its own and its purpose is to thrive.
Pain uses the human mind as a vehicle of self expression to achieve its purpose.
Human suffering nourishes pain, in other words human suffering is the food that fuels pain.
So, pain adopts the principle of divide and rule.
Pain loves to pit one group against another - men vs women; us vs them; this group vs that group - that is how pain can ensure that it continues to exist.
Healing from pain involves understanding the game plan of pain and rising above it.
It is never, us vs them.
Healing involves asking the question, “how do we as one human collective rise above the control of pain?”
Healing involves looking at pain in the eye and saying, “I see you! I choose to heal from you”
People say, “I want to heal from pain.”
But when pain makes itself known, most resort to either pleasing pain so it goes away as fast as possible or they try to fight it. Neither heals the pain only perpetuates it.
The way I see it - there are 2 options/paths when it comes to pain:
-
Choose the Path of Perpetual Pain
-
Choose to see the Truth.
Both choices will lead you to pain. Here is the essential difference:
The Path of Perpetual Pain will keep you trapped in an endless cycle.
The Path of Truth, initially moves you through pain, so you can heal from it using the light of the Truth.
What would you choose?
From my heart to yours🍀💫🤗
