This week, Kavitha and I sat down for a conversation we’ve wanted to have for a long time.
It’s about what happens to a couple when a baby is on the way, and after the baby arrives.
Many couples come to us a year or so after giving birth, saying:
- "We were so close before. I don't understand how we drifted apart."
- "We work well as a team, but we're not intimate anymore."
- "Everyone said that would be the happiest time of our lives. Why do I feel so alone?"
This is more common than we admit: two thirds of couples say their marriage satisfaction drops after a baby.
In our latest podcast, Kavitha and I talk about:
- Why so many relationships struggle after a baby, and what's really behind it,
- How women and men experience pregnancy and early parenthood very differently,
- How to stay connected as a couple during this period.
